Sky Blue Drawstring Bags (Set of 4)
The chicest and most eco-friendly way to hit the grocery store (while saving money and the earth!) It is my sincerest hope that the one-of-a-kind, specialty nature of these pieces will help you remember and revere the process of reusing and repurposing materials instead of wasting money and plastic each time you need to do the groceries.
This particular set was rescued from a pillowcase, which was lovingly donated by a family member.
This set offers four pieces, all different sizes and tare weights, each with two drawstrings which help the bags stay shut without tying a knot. The color is a sky or almost a Tiffany blue, and I chose to alternate the colors of the drawstring between white and turquoise.
How to Use
Bring these bags with you to your local refill stores or refill stations of grocery stores. Fill them with almonds, rice, oatmeal, dishwasher pods, produce, etc. and at the register, the cashier will need the tare weight, which is conveniently printed on the lower right hand corner of each bag. If they do not see it, simply let them know it is there and they will remove that weight from the total cost.
When you return home, either empty the contents into your jars/containers or leave in the bag! If bagging produce, I do suggest removing from the bag in order to preserve the quality of each piece.
Care Instructions
Then wash the bags on delicate, cold cycle. You can tumble dry these, but I suggest just air drying.
Materials
100% cotton, all rescued.
Packaging
All Rescue packages are shipped in biodegradable packaging made from 100% post-consumer recycled materials.
End of Life
When this item has reached the end of its time with you, please donate or drop at your nearest textile recycling center.
